A variety of bookable talks with Jennifer Rigby
Our Artistic Director, Jennifer Rigby, has over 10 years of experience delivering lively and entertaining talks to groups such as The WI, The U3A, local History Societies and Retirement clubs.
Jen’s talks include:
‘Shakespeare and me’ – an anecdotal talk about my relationship with Shakespeare from school room to stage complete with performance extracts.
‘Shakespeare’s Women’ a light-hearted look at the women who influenced Shakespeare’s life, both on and off the stage. Again, with performance extracts.
‘Albert, Worms and George. don’t do that’ – a ramble through some of the great comedy monologues of days gone by – light-hearted and anecdotal with performance extracts.
And ‘But I can’t tap dance’ – a light-hearted and anecdotal look at the highs and lows of the life of a 21st Century actress.
New for 2024 – ‘Bring me sunshine’ Jen is joined by AJP’s Musical Director, Nicolette Morgan, for an evening of musical delights! Featuring some of the most popular duets from our last four years of shows, along with some light-hearted reminiscences and anecdotes. Limited dates available, so book soon to avoid missing out!
‘Thank you so much for last night’s talk. It was wonderful. You must get a great buzz from an audience appreciating the man (Shakespeare) and his works that you know so well as you brought him to life and made him very relevant to today.’
‘Many, many thanks for your most delightful, informative and interesting talk to our WI on Wednesday evening. Members were very appreciative of your different take on Shakespeare’s women, and it has rekindled an interest in Shakespeare’.
‘I thought I must write to thank you for your most amusing and professional talk you gave to our WI. Many of our members said how much they enjoyed the evening.’
‘Thank you so much for your wonderful talk last Tuesday. Everyone was delighted with your delivery and several members said it was the best talk we have ever had. The Club has been in existence for 13 years.’
